Yesterday, I met with a friend and saw her baby daughter for the first time. I had knit for her a baby blanket a few months ago, and it was the first time I saw it being used. It makes me happy every time I see hand knit gifts being loved by others. I know that my time and effort is being enjoyed and appreciated, and also that I’ve been able to give something that can be put to good use. I also saw my mum this morning, wearing a shawl that I gave her last year. More smiles for me!

Sometimes, I wonder what I can possibly do with all the knitting that I create, but then I’m reminded that there are knitworthy people in my life, and I can then start thinking about new projects guilt-free!
