I cut my knitting!! I cast off the swatch I had been knitting, then crocheted along the two edges of my intended cutting line, before getting out my scissors to snip!

I cut my swatch apart, and then started playing with the edging… to discover that the crocheted reinforcement didn’t hold at all!!

I suspect this was because of the slipped stitches I was doing at the steeking “edge” of my swatch, so I tried another line of crocheted reinforcement along the regular garter stitch part of the swatch… and it was fine!

This was far more successful, so… I guess I’ve figured out how to steek, to a point, but now the challenge is how to make it look good! More steeking adventures to follow!!
