Ever since I picked up knitting again in high school, I’ve wanted to design knitting patterns. It’s just always seemed like such an obvious thing for me to do. I can knit. I can create shapes out of stitches. If I can follow someone else’s instructions to create a finished piece, surely I can design it myself!

Walt Disney once said, “If you can dream it, you can do it!” This seems like an entirely reasonable statement of fact, so I’m going to create my own patterns. At least, I’ll get right on that once I finish knitting all the lovely projects that I’ve already started, in other people’s amazing patterns…

I’m sure I’ll eventually have my own designs, at some point… For now, I’ve certainly started dreaming!
