Lace knitting is amazing. It is intricate and complex and engaging, and projects can also be incredibly light, with just a single skein or two to make a large shawl or wrap! I first got back into knitting with the discovery of lace shawls, and even now that I've discovered socks and cables and textures and colourwork, I still find myself constantly going back to lace. If you've never knit a lace project, I encourage you to give it a go! It's worth it just for the excitement of taking it off the blocking mats when you're finished!
